About

Hi 👋, welcome to my website! I am Yuyao Ge, a Ph.D. student at the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. I am advised by Prof. Shenghua Liu and Prof. Yiwei Wang. I work on long-horizon LLM reasoning and agentic code generation.

I have worked on the development of several Frontier Foundation Models. I am currently a Research Intern at Tencent Hunyuan’s Foundation Model Department, where I work on Hy3. Before that, I was a Research Intern at Moonshot AI, where I worked on the foundation model training for Kimi K2, K2.5, K2.6, and K2.7 Code, and explored the Coding capabilities of the K2 series models. Earlier, I also interned at Microsoft Research Asia and Tsinghua University.

Outside of work, I’m a backpacker with interests in hiking ⛰️ and photography 🎞️. You can view my photography work HERE.

“A 2025 survey formalized the split this way: prompt engineering optimizes a single instruction, while context engineering treats the context window as a structured, assembled payload that gets rebuilt on every step of a run, not a static string written once.”

“Fifteen researchers from six universities and institutes across China, the United States and Australia analysed more than 1,400 papers to give context engineering its first comprehensive treatment as a formal discipline.”

“A new academic work titled A Survey of Vibe Coding with Large Language Models finds that even advanced models capable of building complete apps lose accuracy and efficiency when developers aren’t part of the process.”

Covered by PaperWeekly

“A team from the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, found that visual complexity makes a model’s attention wander; their CARVE method contrasts attention maps to pull the task-relevant signal out of that visual noise.”
